Kids in Glenrock will benefit from a generous gift given to the Boys & Girls Club of Glenrock by Jackson Hole financier Foster Friess.  Mr. Friess and his wife Lynnette donated $100,000.00 to the Glenrock Club in honor of Dr. Joseph McGinley. The gift was announced at a small social gathering to celebrate Brighter Futures for youth and the Boys & Girls Club of Glenrock.

Dr. McGinley chose the Boys & Girls Club of Glenrock as the recipient of this generous gift with its future in mind.

“I can think of no other organization that meets so many needs and touches so many families in Glenrock. The proposed building for the Club from the town and county will be an anchor for children by providing educational support, sports, meals, technology education and so much more,” said Dr. McGinley. “As business owners in Glenrock, it is our pleasure to support this effort. I’m hoping others will join me in helping to make the proposed building a reality for the children of Glenrock.”

The funds will go toward the development of the Club and supporting programming based around three focus areas of academic success, good character & citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.

“We are so incredibly thankful to Foster and Lynnette for responding to the needs of charities and non-profits across the state,” said Ashley Bright, CEO, BGCCW. “We are honored and humbled to receive this gift on behalf of youth in Glenrock. It’s a huge investment for the future of our Club! It means we can reach and impact the kids who need us most, now and into tomorrow.”

The Glenrock Boys & Girls Club is operated under the umbrella of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming. It serves 200 kids each year after school and during out of school days, including Fridays during the school year and daily for summer camp. It has been operating in Glenrock since 2000.
