They are the Club’s best ambassadors and advocates. They spend countless hours helping guide, shape, and grow the Club. Their only paycheck is knowing they are making a difference in the life of a child. The Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming is made up of a diverse group of community leaders who volunteer their time to guide operations, development, and vision for the Club. Recently, four board members were honored for their commitment.
Current Board President, Matt Cassel received a National Service to Youth Award from the Boys & Girls Club of America for 25 years of service. Susie McMurry and Mary Lynne Shickich received the award for 15 years of service each and Michele Trost-Hall for 10 years.

“Our organization has one of the most dedicated and passionate boards in this community. These leaders give of themselves and their time to make a difference for our youth,” said Ashley Bright, CEO, BGCCW. “With just the four members we recognized, together they have given 65 years to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming. It is my true honor to be able to work with all of them.”
“The tenure of a board member makes all the difference in the world for a non-profit organization like the Boys & Girls Clubs. We know that board members who stay on a board for ten, twenty-five years that builds a strong organization,” said Ryan Scheel, Director of Organizational Development, BGCA
The awards were handed out at the 47th Annual Meeting of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming. The Board reviewed and shared highlights from the past fiscal year through year-end reports and re-installed officers.
