To be successful beyond graduation, today’s youth need to be armed with skills that will prepare them for an ever-changing modern society. A generous investment from Cameco has provided valuable tools and resources for the Boys & Girls Club of Glenrock. A $20,000 grant from the world’s largest uranium producer has turned into the Cameco Tech Lab where Club members have access to 20 computer stations and safe access to the web.
The Cameco Tech Lab will allow the Boys & Girls Club of Glenrock to implement key educational programs like NetSmartz, an internet safety and online etiquette program; Encarta Kids, an internet research program; digital arts; and a myriad of online academic tutoring options.
An official ribbon cutting of the Cameco Tech Lab is scheduled for Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 5 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club of Glenrock, located inside the Glenrock Rec Center.
