“Today is my big day. I finally am going to be a pirate. I’ve dreamed about this day since I was little.”

Peggy the Pint Sized Pirate is brought to the stage at the Verda James Club. Seventeen Club members participated in a 12 week Drama Club led by Miss Barb at the VJ Club. The kids learned their lines, practiced and rehearsed, and helped create the set and costumes. They performed it in front of a large group of family and friends on May 24. Acting teaches kids about confidence, perseverance, and work ethic. Offering a drama program gives kids access to the performing arts and can help kids discover their own talents.
