This dramatic transformation is simply a change in flooring. It went from dark black to bright citrus colors.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming received a $50,00 grant from Lowe’s to renovate the Games Room to improve the aesthetics of the games room with energetic and vibrant colors will attract kids and keep them coming back. The grant is part of Renovation Across the Nation, a program now in its second year, which provides one Club in all 50 states with funding and support from Lowe’s to complete much-needed improvements and renovations. BGCCW was selected as the signature Club in Wyoming.
The 2,400 square foot games room was showing significant wear from 13 years of daily and prolonged usage. Since its opening in 2004, the games room has experienced over a million visits from both Club members and the community. The Main Club has served, on average, 220 kids on a daily basis.
“Youth deserve a safe and comfortable place they can be proud of to call their own. Our dynamic leadership from our youth development professionals in the games room coupled with an appealing space will enhance member experience, leading to a greater positive effect for our more than 3,000 members,” said Ashley Bright, CEO, BGCCW.
With the recent improvements to the floor in the cafeteria which is adjacent to the games room, this renovation creates a cohesive, welcoming environment.
