One of the best professional basketball players started shooting hoops as a “Club” kid. It is said that NBA legend Bill Russell spent as much as six hours a day playing basketball at a neighborhood park or at his local Boys Club.
Here’s your chance to start grooming your own basketball star. Register your hoopster for the upcoming youth basketball league at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming. The league is open to all boys and girls in grades K through 6th.
Games and practices will be Monday through Friday evenings with start times of 5:30, 6:30, and 7:30 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club gymnasiums located at 1701 East K Street. The season begins Monday, Jan. 19, 2015 and ends with March Madness games on Saturday, March 7, 2015.
Registration deadline is right around the corner – Jan. 5, 2015. The cost is $25 with a $10 late fee for registrations received after the deadline. All participants must be members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming. Annual memberships are just $10 per child. Download a registration form here.
