Every child needs a superhero! Right before the completion of the Glenrock Club, two teams took up the challenge to support the effort to help provide brighter futures for Glenrock’ youth. The teams competed to see which could sell the most plaques for the new Club’s donor wall between July 25th and August 4th, 2022.

Team Wonder Woman, headed by Tina Harper won the challenge.

The new Glenrock building is finally complete!

The ribbon cutting and celebration of the new building’s opening took place on August 18th.

We Need Your Help!

The Glenrock building is complete, but we need your help! We are raising money for equipment and the first year of operations. Help us provide brighter futures for Glenrock youth by donating today! Every dollar makes a difference.

Where it Started

More than 20 years ago, Glenrock’s police chief identified a need in the community – kids needed something to keep them occupied and engaged while out of school. The purpose was to prevent mischief and keep them out of the juvenile justice system. He secured the initial funding and approached the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming in Casper to open a Club in Glenrock. The Club opened in 2000 located inside the former Grant Elementary which is now the Recreation Center. It operated at the Rec Center for 18 years.

Where We Are Today

In 2018, in partnership with Glenrock Schools, the Club was relocated to a dedicated wing within the Intermediate School. Members have access to three classroom spaces, a technology center, and outdoor recreation space. When CCSD#2 moved to a four-day school week in 2019, the Club opened its doors for a full-day on Fridays to keep kids engaged and safe while parents/guardians may be working. Members receive a nutritious lunch on Fridays thanks to support from the Wyoming Episcopal Diocese Foundation and Christ Episcopal Church. In addition, they receive a healthy snack after school each day. Children are given intentional programming based on three focus areas: Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles.

Brighter Futures Ahead!

Converse County and the Town of Glenrock have gifted the youth of Glenrock a new building to house the Boys & Girls Club of Glenrock – a place to call our own! This 10,000 square foot building will be located at the new Town Square located at 100 s. 6th Street. Although the Club will not bear the construction expenses of the new building, it will need to ensure there is proper equipment to furnish the facility to provide a safe, comfortable, and inviting space for youth. The Glenrock Club relies on the support of the community and philanthropists to maintain quality programming for youth. Money is raised through appeals with support from the Central Wyoming organization. All funds raised in Glenrock, stay in Glenrock to directly benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Glenrock.
