Please join the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Big Horns in honoring Willis Swenson. Mr. Swenson will be honored at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Big Horns Annual Awards and Recognition Breakfast. Willis played a key role in the history of the Big Horns organization as a founder of the first Club in the basement of the Scully Theater. His dedication to the community and the success of its youth will be highlighted at the Breakfast to be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 7 a.m. at the Bozeman Trail Conference Center in Buffalo. It is open to the public, and there is no cost to attend but attendees are expected to make a contribution to the Boys & Girls Clubs.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER:Â Dr. Laurie Nichols
President Nichols was born and raised in South Dakota. A first-generation college graduate, she received a bachelor’s degree in education from South Dakota State University. She earned a master’s degree in vocational and adult education from Colorado State University and a Ph.D. in family and consumer sciences education from Ohio State University.
President Nichols began her career as a member of the faculty at the University of Idaho. She then became the Dean of the SDSU College of Education and Human Sciences. She spent time as interim president of Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota, and then returned to SDSU to become Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs until she moved to Wyoming. While in that role, she guided the university through two years of budget reductions and provided leadership in developing new five-year strategic plans.
Laurie Nichols began her duties as the University of Wyoming’s 26th president in May 2016. She and her husband, Dr. Tim Nichols, have two adult daughters.
