When you’ve been spending an awful lot of time in the principal’s office, you learn a thing or two and you make new friends. Over the past five weeks, Chief Executive Officer Ashley Bright and a team of Club leadership has taken on the challenge of meeting with every elementary school principal in Natrona County in an effort to form new partnerships and to cultivate current relationships.
“At the Club, we are here to serve the kids and we want to reach as many kids as we can through our out-of-school programs, athletics, Be Somebody: Cowboy Ethics, financial literacy, and other outreach opportunities,” said Bright. “Through these meetings with principals, we are learning how to better reach those kids who need us most.”
To date, the team has met with 13 principals across the district. The school leaders are learning about key outcomes, opportunities available, and a brief history of the Club. In turn, principals are sharing how the Club can best communicate with families and providing feedback on improving services.
“Having a Club site in our school has been so beneficial for our families and for our teachers,” said Coebie Taylor-Logan, Mills Elementary principal. “The Club director, Amanda, has worked to align programming to our school including some fantastic STEM activities.”
The information gathered will be used to create a marketing and communication plan customized for each school.
