Nine-year-old Jacob and his friends know that engaging in risky behaviors can change their lives and that prescription drugs can be harmful and addictive if misused. They, along with 80 other youth, learned this and many other lessons as part of SMART Moves programming at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming, Glenrock Branch.
Thanks to a generous grant from the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation, the Glenrock Boys & Girls Club can continue to offer this valuable programming along with Be Somebody: Cowboy Ethics. The power company’s foundation recently awarded the Glenrock Club $4,500.00.
“We appreciate this generous donation from the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation,” said Jacque Stoldt, Glenrock Club Director. “Being able to continue to offer these programs to help guide kids in their decision-making and avoid risky behavior is so very important.”
“We are pleased to support the Glenrock Boys & Girls Club with this donation from our Foundation,” said Leslie Blythe, Rocky Mountain Power regional business manager. “As part of this community, Rocky Mountain Power is grateful for all the work all the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming branches do in our community.”
